대한민국 밀양시 – 유네스코 동아시아 사무소
국제 교류 및 협력 증진을 위한 업무협약서
대한민국 밀양시와 유네스코 동아시아 사무소는 유네스코의 미션에 부합하는 문화 기반의 지속가능한 발전을 촉진하고, 문화 및 관광 분야에서의 국제 교류·협력을 강화하기 위하여 다음과 같이 업무협약서(MOU)를 체결한다.
제1조【목적】
본 협약은 세계유산과 무형유산 보호, 창의산업 육성, 문화 다양성 증진 등 유네스코의 핵심 가치를 바탕으로, 문화 기반의 지속가능한 발전을 위한 공동 협력 체계를 구축하는 데 목적이 있다.
제2조【협력분야】양 기관은 다음 각 호의 분야에서 상호 협력한다.
① 동아시아 5개국 공예 및 민속예술 관련 창의산업 증진을 위한 밀양시-유네스코 동아시아사무소 프로그램 공동 추진
② 유네스코 미션에 기반한 국제 문화교류 및 협력사업
③ 유네스코 무형유산과 패션산업 발전을 위한 국제회의, 문화행사 등 공동 개최 및 상호 참여
④ 기타 상호 협의에 의해 필요하다고 인정되는 사항
제3조【협력방식】
① 공동사업의 효과적 추진을 위해 실무협의를 진행하며, 필요시 별도의 이행계획서를 작성·시행할 수 있다.
② 정보 공유, 자문 제공, 인적·물적 자원 협력 등을 통해 공동 목표 달성에 협력한다.
제4조【성과 공유 및 확산】
양 기관은 본 협약에 따른 사업 및 프로그램의 성과를 정기적으로 공유하고, 국제사회 및 유관기관을 대상으로 공동 확산 활동을 추진한다.
제5조【협약기간 및 갱신】
본 협약의 유효기간은 서명일로부터 3년이며, 종료 3개월 전 서면 해지 통보가 없는 경우 1년 단위로 자동 연장된다.
제6조【비밀유지】
양 기관은 협약 이행 과정에서 취득한 상대 기관의 기밀 정보를 제3자에게 누설하지 않으며, 정보 보호에 최선을 다한다.
제7조【분쟁해결】
협약과 관련된 해석 및 이행상의 문제는 상호 협의를 통해 우호적으로 해결한다.
제8조【기타】
본 협약에 명시되지 않은 사항은 추가 협의를 통해 정하며, 필요한 경우 부속합의서로 명시할 수 있다.
본 협약서는 한국어와 영어로 각 2부 작성하고, 양 기관이 각 1부씩 보관하며, 양 언어의 문서는 동일한 효력을 가진다.

Memorandum of Understanding for the Promotion of International Exchange and Cooperation
Miryang City, Republic of Korea and the UNESCO East Asia Office hereby enter into this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote culture-based sustainable development in alignment with UNESCO's mission and to strengthen international exchange and cooperation in the fields of culture and tourism.
Article 1【Purpose】
This agreement aims to establish a joint cooperation framework for culture-based sustainable development, founded on UNESCO's core values including the protection of World Heritage and Intangible Cultural Heritage, fostering creative industries, and promoting cultural diversity.
Article 2【Areas of Cooperation】Both parties shall cooperate in the following areas:
① Joint implementation of Miryang City-UNESCO East Asia Office programs to promote creative industries related to crafts and folk arts in five East Asian countries
② International cultural exchange and cooperation projects based on UNESCO's mission
③ Joint organization of and mutual participation in international conferences and cultural events for the development of UNESCO intangible heritage and fashion industry
④ Other matters deemed necessary through mutual consultation
Article 3【Methods of Cooperation】
① Working-level consultations shall be conducted for effective implementation of joint projects, and separate implementation plans may be prepared and executed as needed.
② Both parties shall cooperate to achieve common goals through information sharing, advisory services, and cooperation in human and material resources.
Article 4【Sharing and Dissemination of Outcomes】
Both parties shall regularly share the outcomes of projects and programs under this agreement and promote joint dissemination activities targeting the international community and relevant organizations.
Article 5【Duration and Renewal】
This agreement shall be valid for three years from the date of signing and shall be automatically extended for one-year periods unless written notice of termination is given three months prior to expiration.
Article 6【Confidentiality】
Both parties shall maintain confidentiality of the other party's confidential information obtained during the implementation of the agreement and shall make best efforts to protect such information.
Article 7【Dispute Resolution】
Any issues regarding interpretation and implementation of the agreement shall be resolved amicably through mutual consultation.
Article 8【Other Matters】
Matters not specified in this agreement shall be determined through additional consultation and may be specified in supplementary agreements if necessary.
This agreement shall be prepared in two copies each in Korean and English, with each party retaining one copy, and both language versions shall have equal effect.
